Background

Bunny Phyo (also called Pyae Phyo Paing) who has become popular among fans due to a song named ‘ALwoon Pyay Anan’ was born on 9th July 1992 (Thursday) at Yangon Central Women’s Hospital. He is an eldest son of two siblings. He studied at No.6 BEHS, Bota Htaung and he graduated, majoring in English, from Eastern Yangon University.

How He Became an Artist

He has had a great interest in music since he was young. When he was in Grade 5, he recomposed a song called ‘Tayouk Tae’ from the album of ‘Ngako Chitmae Thu’ sung by R-Zarni, by adding some hip-hop lyrics. He participated in Myanmar traditional ‘So, Ka, Yay, Tee’ competition in 2000 and 2012 respectively. He passed his matriculation examination in 2008.

Once he had passed his matriculation exam, he started composing songs together with a band called ‘Southern Born’. Shortly after, he began distributing self-made songs called ‘Hnit-pat Lae’, ‘Alwoon Pyay Anan’, ‘Chittae Hote’, ‘Stay with Me’, and, ‘Ho Ayin Lo’ to fans.

At the time, it was popular to share the self-made songs online and his songs were shared online by friends and among people who loved his songs. Since then, he gained the first recognition from his fans. In 2009, he was first contacted by ‘Htin Win’ who was a member of Rock Star group. Since then he started working with mainstream artists. At the same time, he also sang a lot of songs, cooperating with his neighbor and friend called ‘Ki Ki Kyaw Zaw’ and sang together with artists from Frenzo Production.

In the same year, he started singing on the stage in ‘Thading Gyut’ festival organized by well-known Bo Bo Entertainment.   

As all fans know, he has become popular due to ‘Alwoon Pyay Anan’ song included in ‘Pyawsa Yargyi’ album. At the same time, Bunny Phyo started endeavoring to be able to produce and distribute a solo album. This album ‘Chit Tae Hote’ was distributed to fans on 20th November 2011; and he has quickly become famous. The promotional festival for the album was conducted in Junction Mawtin.

‘Chit Tae Hote’ VCD was produced and distributed on 19th December 2012. Meanwhile his second album called ‘Lupyo Hlaetay’ was distributed on 1st December 2013 and it was also popular.

After that, his first Digital Mini Album as Birthday Treat was distributed via the Internet, and a lot of his fans downloaded that album and supported him.

In the following three months, a dual album called ‘DUO’ was produced and distributed together with his friend and famous singer ‘Ki Ki Kyaw Zaw’.

As 2014 was the most active year of Bunny Phyo; the first solo entertainment called ‘Dreamworld Concert 2014’ was successfully held in December of that year.

After that, a DVD of his popular ‘Lupyo Hlaetay’ album was planned and produced on 4th October 2015.

He was assigned as Brand Ambassador of world famous brand ‘SONY’ Earphones in 2015 and also as Brand Ambassador of Coca-Cola in 2016.

Foreign Entertainment Travel

He went to Singapore to entertain in 2014 and 2015, respectively with Frenzo Production program; and he also travelled and entertained in Australia and the USA in 2015.

Apart from that, he has been presenting and acting in a travel documentary called ‘Let’s Go’ together with other artists, Hlwan Pine, Kyaw Htut Swe, Nan Thu Zar, Nan Myat Phyo Thin, and, Bobbysoxer.
